''Research will show that the most effective place to advertise is on the floor,'' said Donald Cameron, president of Market Media, a Massachusetts company testing floor tiles imprinted with ads for schools, groceries and other stores. ''Subconsciously, you watch where you're going.'' Mr. Cameron said advertisers would pay $100 or more to place one of his 1-by-2-foot ads on the floor of a grocery for two months.
